Get involved: Join a WICPA task force

Your volunteer service on any of the WICPA’s task forces can make a huge difference towards furthering the goals of the Institute and the CPA profession. While serving on a task force, you may assist in various efforts including conference planning. Your involvement gives you the opportunity to share your talents and expertise and develop professional relationships.

Task force groups are open to all members.

Each WICPA conference has a Conference Planning Task Force. Task forces consist of WICPA members who volunteer their time and knowledge to select conference sessions and speakers. Their goal is to offer educational teachings at each conference that participants (CPAs or individuals) can learn from and grow.

Each conference planning task force hosts one meeting that lasts 2–3 hours. The total time commitment would be approximately 4 hours plus the conference day (8 hours). A task force member will be assigned a specific task, (e.g., introduce a speaker, shadow a student, greet attendees as they arrive, etc) on the day of the conference.
